Pep Guardiola is interested in signing players in the summer

In order to not get behind the likes of Chelsea and the rest of the top clubs in the English Premier League, Pep Guardiola has stated that he wants and has to be active in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Pep Guardiola is confident that all of the title contenders of the top tier English League will be very active when the transfer window re-opens on July 1st and this is going to force him on having to reinforce his squad as well.

‘’We speak every day about what we do to improve the quality of the players we have, and will have in the future. What we can do get better and, of course, buy some players to help us to be stronger’’

“But all the teams are going to think about that. Even Chelsea is going to buy players. It will make an exceptional Premier League so every club is going to try to improve. I remember Sir Alex Ferguson would win titles and titles but every season would change players. You have to do that.” Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola said.

Manchester City has a fairly aging squad with most of the players reaching the age of 29 and above. There are only a few youngsters that have made a true impact for Pep Guardiola in his debut season as coach of Manchester City and these youngsters are: John Stones and Raheem Sterling.

It’s rumored that Pep Guardiola is going to attempt to inject life into his squad by signing rising stars such as: Sunderland’s Jordan Pickford and Tottenham Hotspur’s Dele Alli as well as a few other youngsters who are in the radar of the Spanish coach.

It appears to be like the 46 year old manager is already thinking about the upcoming season and how he can strengthen his squad for the near future which is a good thing for the Spanish manager to do as the current season appears to be out of the reach of Manchester City as Chelsea has a significant lead over every other club.
